Quick, easy and delicious dessert

Michael Michaels 13th July 2017

We made this quick and easy desert for a recent test shoot and it was so delicious that we thought we'd share how to make it.

As the title suggests, it's extremely quick, easy and perfect for impressing without having to spend too much time doing so.

Perfect for Vegans too.

You will need:

  • Some figs, nectarines/peaches, cut in half.
  • Muscovado sugar and/or honey
  • Chopped pistachio nuts
  • One pomegranate's worth of seeds
  • Creme fraiche/coconut yoghurt alternative(if vegan)
  • Mint to garnish

Method:

  • Pre heat oven to about 180 degrees C (170 for fan)
  • Place fruit face up on an oven tray
  • Sprinkle on the muscovado and drizzle with honey
  • Sprinkle on half the pistachio nuts(put the rest on once cooked)
  • Bake for about 20 minutes, until the fruit is soft enough for your liking
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes then drizzle with the creme fraiche or vegan option coconut yoghurt
  • Sprinkle on the remaining pistachio nuts and the pomegranate seeds, then garnish with mint leaves

Put the completed serving tray on the table for all to enjoy.. It looks great...

Martini and Schweppes Drink Photography

Michael Michaels 8th June 2017

Our drinks photography for Martini and Schweppes of which I am very proud of, is now starting to hit the streets across Europe.

Here are just a few of the combinations that we shot which were art directed and created by ad agency, Irish International

Working with glass and liquids is pretty, and this brief was no exception. In particular, we had engraving on the glass which was important to see as well as the contents in the glass, plus bubbles to bring the splash to life. Quite a combination. Of course, when you do a test pour, it looks perfect but then when it comes to the real thing, you suddenly see that you got a little lucky on the test and a lot of further experimentation is required to get what you want. A pour that will look natural and lively at the same time.

We think the end results look fab.

To make the perfect mix, fill a glass with ice, then add Martini and Schweppes, 50/50 to just off the rim after adding a slice of Orange with the Rosso or lime with the Bianco. Gently stir and enjoy..

Very pleasant indeed...

Street food photography seems to be all the rage at the moment. If you don't believe me, drop down to Portobello Road on a Friday and Saturday, just under the flyover and see for yourself.

Leading London food caterers, Jackson Gilmour asked us to photograph their latest street food range at our London studio. They provide delicious food for major London events. You can check them out here .

After having shot a lot of there website images, they recently asked us to shoot some of their new street food range and here are some of the results.
